Interesting, but you seem to have left out the part where you actually link to the correct article on friedbeef.com :)

Man, if you’re going to call this Webwatch MALAYSIA you need to be a lot more updated…there are quite a few more Advertlets vs Nuffnang posts out there, its been one of the hot topics lately in the local blogosphere.

Nuffnang is really annoying - their ads are huge, and showing up everywhere. And its not even like real ads, its just like their own unpaid ads.

    Good save! (Yeah right) :)

Maybe you can try cover a different angle or something. Or if you want to be biased, you can pick a side, haha!

I think Advertlets.com has an interesting model, but how do they compare to Vizu.com which is also about polling? Also, Nuffnang.com.my’s super huge banner and skyscraper ads - what are the click through rates on those? Are they effective? Maybe you can interview the founders on that.

    Hi there,

Its ming from the Nuffnang network.

We learnt alot from Friedbeef’s article. It was a lively one too with alot of interaction from a host of bloggers.

Terence- Actually, our paid ads have already rolled out and are serving on a few hundred blogs in our network.

We take at least a week to track your statistics before we can sell the space. In that time, our default ad runs. This helps us and you. Firstly a bigger network means more bargaining power, secondly an advetriser might chance on the ads himself.

We now have 800 blogs in the network, we’ve seen exponential growth in this week alone. So we’re looking to roll out paid ads on even more blogs. But we need to ensure relevancy as well.

Ming, you’re innovating at a good pace, and absorbing feedback well. I’m excited to see what you can do ;)

Word on the street is that the entire development team at Advertlets has deserted to Nuffnang over alleged cash flow problems. Can anyone else confirm/deny this?

whistler, the war for talent is competitive. i will post an interview with josh from advertlets soon, and we’ll get some answers ;)

till then let’s not spread the word on the street coz it may be very misleading.
